13 MILLION PEOPLE…

13 MILLION people will have the opportunity to see one of my photographs over the next year...

T Photos Boutique’s beach photography - titled “Milkshake Waves” - taken in Belmar, New Jersey - displayed at Newark Airport, Terminal A - above the TSA security gates.

Some of you may have heard about this on the NEWS, here is a video if you haven't https://news.yahoo.com/ribbon-cutting-today-terminal... - how the heck does this involve me? Well if you watch the video, they talk about the artists that were chosen to be a part of this 2.7 billion dollar project (building of the new Terminal A at Newark Airport) - and YAY I'm one of them!! The terminal recently opened to the public on January 12th 2023, but the other artists and I, and a select group of people including Governor Murphy & his wife, the Mayor of Newark, and a lot of other big wigs were invited to celebrate and tour the terminal at the ribbon cutting ceremony on November 14th 2022.

The photo at the top is on a digital display above TSA security gates (only 1 of many locations that you can see throughout the terminal). Fellow New Jersey photographer and traveler Kevin Plant recently messaged me after going through security saying, “Saw one of your images in terminal A of Newark Airport…Love that!” Proof that my photo is actually being seen—this high rate of visibility is what is so wonderful about this opportunity and exhibition :-). I’m eager to fly through the terminal soon and do my own reconnaissance. I’ll actually want to show up early this time LOL.

It was so great to finally be able to meet the other artists and see their work, which is gorgeous by the way. You can see ALL of the featured artists here, but I’ve included photos of a few that I met personally below, whose work I really admire. Definitely click on the photos for more information and links to more of their art.

This terminal is so creatively designed, the architecture and the inclusion of all the art, both in 2D and 3D styles. Most of the artists were people of color and women. It was a long application process and I had to keep the secret that I was selected for 9 months - that was difficult LOL.

Drop a comment below if you’ve had the pleasure of seeing the new terminal. Or if not, definitely keep an eye out for my art and all the others when you eventually make your way through Terminal A. Congrats to all the showcased artists and thanks to Munich Airport NJ LLC for funding the support and celebration of local artists.
